HURRICANE HELENE UPDATE FOR SEASIDE, FLORIDA
The latest storm track models now show the system shifting east, with the potential for landfall as a Category 2 or 3 hurricane. While the forecast has changed, we are maintaining the same level of preparation in case the system shifts west once it enters the Gulf.
It is important to note that nearly all the models indicate a northwest movement after landfall, with potential impacts to our area. We are staying vigilant and prepared, and I will continue to provide updates following new advisories from the National Hurricane Center.
The Seaside Shuttle will not run Thursday and Friday. The vast majority of Seaside Merchants are planning to close late in the afternoon on Wednesday and remain closed through late Friday morning.
