Located on Forest Street on Seaside’s desirable west side—just nine cottages west of the iconic Seaside Chapel—this one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage comfortably accommodates two adults and two small children. Guests enjoy designated parking for one vehicle directly in front of the home, along with easy access to all of Seaside’s renowned amenities.

Private Guest Cottage with Courtyard Setting

Tucked behind the main residence, Life Is Good, Risa’s Cottage feels like a hidden retreat surrounded by mature trees and lush landscaping. Accessed via a quiet footpath and arbor gate, the cottage offers a sense of privacy while remaining close to the heart of town. A softly lit courtyard with perimeter lighting provides safe evening access, while a private outdoor patio and boardwalk offer inviting spaces to relax outdoors. Guests have exclusive use of an enclosed outdoor shower—perfect after beach days—as well as private laundry facilities conveniently located on-site.

Outdoor Living Designed for Relaxation

The furnished front porch features elevated Adirondack seating for two and a garden stool, creating an ideal spot for morning coffee or sunset wine. The surrounding yard offers space for children to play while adults unwind nearby. A propane grill is available for casual outdoor meals, and bicycles can be securely stored within the enclosed courtyard, making it easy to explore Seaside on two wheels.

Bright Living Area & Efficient Kitchen

Inside, the cottage opens into a welcoming living and dining space filled with natural light. The living area includes a queen sleeper sofa, flat-screen Smart TV, and a custom built-in dining nook perfect for enjoying meals together. For added flexibility, the flip-up coffee tables can double as tray tables for casual dining while watching TV. The thoughtfully designed, economy-size kitchen is well-equipped for quick meals and beach-day breakfasts, featuring a small sink, induction cooktop, built-in microwave, and a Sub-Zero compartment refrigerator and freezer.

Comfortable Bedroom with Private Bath

Just off the main living space, the serene bedroom offers a queen bed, dual nightstands, and ample natural light. The private ensuite bathroom includes a walk-in shower with a built-in bench, along with a spacious closet featuring built-in drawers and hanging space. Original artwork displayed throughout the cottage adds a thoughtful, local touch, enhancing the home’s warm and inviting atmosphere.

This cottage was perfect for me and my wife. The upscale remodel provided a laid back elegance that met every need for a 3 day getaway. Our favorite parts of the cozy accommodations were the relaxing spacesfrom the dining nook to the comfy seats on the shaded patio, perfect for games & coffee. The excellent location was within walking/biking distance from beach, shopping & dining. Highly recommend & will definitely be back!
